It was announced on Sunday that former WWE Superstar and until-then current AEW wrestler Benjamin Satterley, who wrestled on the indies and in AEW under the name “Pac,” and in WWE as “Adrian Neville” or just “Neville”, had suddenly passed away. Specifics are still unknown, but he was apparently found in his rental car unconscious. People found him, called 9-1-1, and when the ambulance arrived, he was pronounced already dead.
I first saw Adrian Neville wrestle on WWE’s NXT development show back in 2014 after the launch of the WWE Network. Seeing his tremendous finishing maneuver, a corkscrew shooting star press that was then known as the “Red Arrow” (and later the Black Arrow upon his arrival in AEW) I was immediately awestricken. After a few more matches, I could see that there was something more to him than just another high-flyer.
As I had been a huge fan of WWE’s trading card game, Raw Deal, when it was active, I’d occasionally make my own fantasy cards, usually just by re-skinning a pre-existing character and their specific cards. Neville did a bunch of high-flying attacks, but wasn’t well-known yet. Spirit Squad member Kenny had a Superstar Ability that involved High Risk maneuvers, but a Superstar Value of zero, which seemed fitting for Neville’s early WWE career. I found what few decent photos I could, came up with card names along the lines of what existed in Raw Deal, and designed by own Neville cards using templates I’d made from scanning actual Raw Deal cards.
As something of a tribute to Mr. Satterley, I’ve decided to re-share those cards tonight, after watching the tremendous tribute episode of AEW that aired on 30 September 2026.
Kenny became Neville. The Johnny-Go-Round Kick became Neville’s Head Kick (making sure to keep the word “Kick” for cards that had an affect on other cards with that word), Trampoline Leap became The Jumping Geordie (a reference to Satterley’s home of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England), Air Kenny became Break Orbit (the name of his WWE entrance music), High Spirits became the Red Arrow, Give me an S…Give me a P…Give me an I… Give me an R… Give me an I… Give Me a T… became the much shorter The New Sensation, and the horizontally-oriented Pre-Match card, S-P-I-R-I-T-S-Q-U-A-D…SPIRIT SQUAD! became The Man that Gravity Forgot.

The “WWE” logo became a scratched “PA!,” to go with my then-current online nickname, “Psycho Andy.” The cards have catalogue numbering, as all Raw Deal cards in each set did. Because I wasn’t sure how many cards I’d be making, rather than setting the serial numbers as “001/145,” for example, I just used my faux initials, “PAC,” as in, “Psycho Andy Costello.” And, those three letters also happened to spell Neville’s ring name pre- and post-WWE. I honestly can’t remember if I knew that at the time I made the cards. Either way, a pretty nice coincidence!
I did get to see Ben/Neville/Pac wrestle live earlier this year, when I attended AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage back in January. He had a tremendous match against Darby Allin, including a sickening spot where Pac suplexed Allin into the steel steps wrestlers use to climb into the ring.
Thank you, Benjamin Satterley/Adrian Neville/The King of the Cruiserweights/”The Bastard”/Pac. Nobody in wrestling has captured my attention since the way that you did in 2014. I have enjoyed every one of your matches that I’ve seen, though obviously I enjoyed the wins more than the losses.
You may be The Man That Gravity Forgot, but we never will.
