It’s that time of year again — An ink drawing a day for a whole month of October! I’m using the #MysticalWitchtober prompt list this year. Today’s drawing is “Cottage Core.”
Actually, today’s drawing was supposed to be “pumpkin,” and Cottage Core was supposed to be the drawing for the 13th. Somehow I got the order of the list mixed up, and did “sleepover,” the word for the 17th, a few days early. So I’ll be off-list a little bit for the next few days, and be back on track on the 18th.
From Wikipedia: Cottagecore (sometimes referred to as Countrycore or Farmcore) is an internet aesthetic idealising rural life. Originally based on a rural European life, it was developed throughout the 2010s and was first named cottagecore on Tumblr in 2018. The aesthetic centres on traditional rural clothing, interior design, and crafts such as drawing, baking, and pottery, and is related to similar aesthetic movements such as grandmacore, goblincore, and fairycore.
