I’m a fan of the Japanese metal bad Nemophila, and own a couple of their albums.
I just found out that about a year ago, they recorded a cover of another Japanese band’s song — Dizzy Sunfist, who is more of a punk band — which is titled… “Andy.”
A band I like recorded a song about me! Hot damn!
She’s singing in English, but since Nemophila’s vocalist, Mayu, has a pretty thick accent, here are the lyrics:
Oh, yeah!
What’s the matter now
What’s with that teary face
Let’s meet up today
I’m all ears, just lead the way
You know I’m here to cheer you up (hey hey!)
I wanna make you laugh and smile (hey hey!)
Make life be alright
Have fun all the time don’t give up
What you gave me I give back
(So let it go!)
Andy, Andy, Andy
Don’t be lonely
You know you can count on me
Everything’s alright
Andy, Andy, Andy
Don’t you feel alone
You got a friend like me
Through thick and thin
Best friends forever!
You double my joy
You turn my frown upside down
We’ve nothing to fear
Remember that I’m always here
You always helped lift me up (hey hey!)
I’ll be there to fill your cup (hey hey!)
Wish you a great life
And I wish you big love times five
What you gave me I give back
(So let it go!)
Andy, Andy, Andy
Don’t be lonely
You know you can count on me
Everything’s alright!
Andy, Andy, Andy
Don’t you feel alone
You got a friend in me
Through thick and thin
Best friends forever!
Let’s go!
What you gave me I give back
(So let it go!)
Andy, Andy, Andy
Don’t be lonely
You know you can count on me
Everything’s alright
Andy, Andy, Andy
Don’t you feel alone
I got a friend in you
Through thick and thin
Best friends forever!
