I mean, it’s not like I wasn’t going to own this show. And while there was nothing technically wrong with the DVD boxes that it came in, I’m just not a big fan of the booklet insert episode guides. I want the episodes listed on the box, if not on the discs themselves, so I can quickly just take a look and see what is where, without any extra pieces.
So, following the lead with the TMNT and Sailor Moon slim DVD inserts that I made, I’ve also made them for Batman: The Animated Series.
I was able to find pretty hi-res art of a lot of the characters. Also, it’s sort of forgotten now, but BTAS actually had three titles throughout the run of its show. It started as just Batman, and then became The Adventures of Batman & Robin for the third season. The final season, with the redesigned characters, was called The New Batman Adventures. Since there were three different titles and three different key art posters, I decided to break up the covers using those posters. It doesn’t QUITE work out, as The Adventures of Batman & Robin episodes actually constitute discs 8 and 9, but whatever. These are cases for my collection and not mass production, so it’s good enough for me.
And of course, since I also had the two best animated Batman movies, I made a case to feature both of those, as well:
And, as always, each image above is a link to a full-sized image that you can download yourself, print out, and put in 7mm slim cases. There’s an extra eighth of an inch on all 4 sides, so you don’t have to be 100% precise when cutting these.
Enjoy!
