Hi! I’m Andy.
I was born in Massachusetts in the early 1980s, and have lived in Arizona since the summer of 1996.
Beginning in 1995, I wasknown as “Psycho Andy.” And I bought the domain PsychoAndy.com in 2005. But in 2024, I decided that I had outgrown the “Psycho” moniker, and decided to rebrand a bit. I’m a bit older, and take my inspirations from the entertainment I enjoyed in my younger days. “Retro Andy” felt a lot more appropriate. Unfortunately, RetroAndy.com was already taken by fellow Andy who sells antiques. And I certainly wasn’t going to bother him about MY wanting to change my name after he’d been using the domain for a number of years…. So “RetroAndyArt”, my second choice, was gonna have to be good enough!
I’m a professional graphic designer who has drawn over 700 pages of comics and recorded over 100 episodes of podcasts. I used to co-own a comic book store. I’ve been to multiple WrestleManias. I donate hair to place that make wigs for children going through chemotherapy, and donate blood at least a few times a year.
My goal in life is to make at least one person laugh every day. That way, if they were having a good day, I made it a little brighter! And if they were having a bad day, at least I gave them that one moment of laughter. Most days I succeed. Some days, I just get annoyed eye rolls. Oops!
In August 2022, I decided to find every blog or review entry I’ve ever written, from all the various websites I’ve ever posted them on, and re-post them all here under their original publication date. I found most of them, but there’s probably a few missing. As of the time of this writing, there are over 800 posts on this website. Many posts are of my art from the last decade or so. There’s old comic book, video game, and action figure reviews, random thoughts on life, and all my old podcasts. The oldest post currently is from 1999 — I may not always agree with the things that I thought or said in the past.
So hey! Stick around for a while! There’s some stuff to read, look at, and listen to.
Have a nice day. 🙂
